Quilt Block Mania continues this month with "Lucky Charms" as the theme. Boy, that brought back some childhood memories! I loved the cereal by that name, especially those marshmallow pieces. I didn't feed my kids many sugary cereals and I was always a little disappointed that they didn't select Lucky Charms on those rare opportunities they got to choose ANYTHING they wanted.
Isn't it funny how something that was such a big deal to me meant absolutely nothing to them? A little dancing leprechaun made me so happy (and hungry). But my kids had a wonderful friend who taught them that leprechauns were naughty little creatures who loved to play tricks upon them and every March she brought them funny little gifts to help celebrate St. Patrick's Day. She told them that they would be very lucky if there were ever to spy a leprechaun, or at least find a 4-leaf clover.
Such fun, silly stuff. We need more of that.
Please enjoy this fun, pieced hat and check out the AnglePlay border that works really well for placemats!
