Great for retreats!

All in all the design wall is excellent. However, I made the mistake of not setting it up prior to the retreat. First, one of the knots was undone so one of the pop together poles didn’t work. It’s an easy fix but I didn’t have the tools with me. Also, the directions could benefit with one more photo showing the assembled unit with base from the back.

There are no tools required to push the cord through the hole in the poles and tie a knot on the end.
You will find the picture you referred to in the middle of the 2nd page of the instructions. You can download a copy here: https://www.offthewallquilt.com/collections/design-walls/products/design-wall-assembly-instructions

72" design wall

This design wall is a great size and the flannel surface has been holding my quilt pieces for a week with no problems. I am really pleased with this. I only wish that it was a little sturdier and that the supporting legs stayed in the floor brackets better. It is not easily moved without help , not because of weight but due tonot being sturdy enough.

Poor quality

The support rods would not stay attached to the bars. Quality not worth the price.

Didn’t know how much I needed this!

I’m an amateur quilter, and I went back and forth on whether to make this investment…but to be honest, my method of designing on the floor while three large cats suddenly need to zoom through the room at top speed made the design process challenging at best…this is literally the first time I’ve been able to see my quilt layout without losing pieces, or rearranging it 5 times in 5 minutes, or having to tug pieces out from under a 20 lb fur paperweight. If you have babies, fur or otherwise, this quilt wall is a game changer! It’s also nice to not have to kneel or bend over or squat down to move pieces around. What seemed like a nice-to-have investment has now become a critical necessity in my quilting life! My 12 x 12 squares didn’t stick as well because of the weight, so I did pin them, but TOTALLY WORTH IT. I love this wall!
